Maria Große is a lecturer at the Professional School of Education (PSE) at Humboldt University of Berlin since October 2017. Her work focuses on language education, German as a second language, and Latin pedagogy, with a particular emphasis on language-sensitive instruction and multilingualism in educational contexts.
- Education: Doctorate (2012-2016) at Humboldt University’s Institute of Classical Philology with a Hertie Foundation scholarship; Master’s in Mathematics and Latin (2010-2012); Bachelor’s in Mathematics and Latin with teaching certification (2006-2009).
Große’s research centers on integrating language education into classical language instruction, notably through the Pons Latinus project. Her work addresses diagnostic methodologies, empirical validation, and curriculum design for multilingual classrooms.
