Maria Grozeva

Maria Grozeva is a Professor of Modern German Language at the Department of Foreign Languages and Cultures at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. She holds a Doctorate in Philological Sciences and teaches courses in morphology, syntax, lexicology of German, psycholinguistics, simultaneous and consecutive translation, sociolinguistic and psycholinguistic issues in translation, and text linguistics. She has delivered lectures at universities in Rijeka (Croatia), Maribor (Slovenia), and Leipzig (Germany).

Her research focuses on comparative linguistics, text linguistics, foreign language education, and language acquisition. She has authored books such as Coherence of the Scientific Discourse (2010) and Language in the Internet (2012), and over 120 studies published internationally. She is also a compiler and editor of academic publications, expert reviewer, and project leader in international research initiatives.
