معرفی
Maria Gluud is a Research Fellow at the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, Department of Immunology and Microbiology, and Skin Immunology Research Center. Her work focuses on cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL) pathogenesis with emphasis on host-microbe interactions and immune dysregulation.
Her research interests span immunology, microbiology, and oncology with specific focus on Staphylococcus aureus pathogenesis in CTCL, T-cell activation mechanisms, skin barrier defects, and cancer immunotherapy. Recent work demonstrates how bacterial toxins drive malignant T-cell proliferation and induce drug resistance.
Analysis of her 24 publications (2018-2024) reveals strong emphasis on translational immunology with 80% of recent work investigating Staphylococcus aureus-CTCL interactions. Key trends include biomarker discovery (RUNX2, miRNA signatures), JAK/STAT signaling pathways, and metabolic reprogramming in malignant T cells. Her publications appear in high-impact journals including Blood, Journal of Investigative Dermatology, and Frontiers in Oncology.
Dr. Gluud collaborates extensively with the Ødum research group at the Skin Immunology Research Center, contributing to multiple high-impact studies with significant media coverage (92+ news outlets) and patent developments. Her work has been highlighted in major platforms including Mendeley (58+ readers) and social media (21+ X posts).
