معرفی
Maria Giebler is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Laboratory Science within the Medical Sciences Division of the University of Oxford. Her work focuses on unraveling the molecular mechanisms underlying male germline development and fertility.
- PhD from Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (Germany)
Her research investigates the spatio-temporal gene expression patterns of somatic cells in the human testis niche, which is critical for sperm maturation. By analyzing cellular identity and niche dynamics, her work bridges developmental biology and clinical genetics to address male infertility.
Maria's publications span fields including reproductive biology, molecular genetics, and oncology, with recent studies examining PIWI-LIKE gene expression in sperm and HERV-K retroviruses in sarcoma. Her earlier work explored osteopontin variants in gliomas and their response to radiation therapy.
Current affiliations include the Goriely Group, specializing in clinical genetics research. She can be reached at maria.giebler@ndcls.ox.ac.uk.
