Maria Federica Merotto is Professor of Roman Law and Foundations of European Law at the University of Verona. Her research explores Roman legal traditions with emphasis on succession agreements, property transactions, and their influence on modern European private law. Leads modules in Romanistic Foundations of Private Law and European legal traditions.
Participates in national research projects including PRIN studies on Roman criminal law ('Principi e vitalità del diritto penale romano') and legal history of the human body. Holds a PhD from the University of Verona with thesis on succession pacts in Roman law.
