Maria Fatima Adrio Fondevila

Maria Fatima Adrio Fondevila serves as a University Professor in the Department of Cell Biology at the University of Santiago de Compostela, teaching foundational and advanced courses across biology degree programs including Cell Biology, Tissue and Organ Biology, Developmental Biology, and Development of the Nervous System for both undergraduate and master's students.

Her research centers on Developmental Biology and Neuroscience, specifically investigating neural development and regenerative mechanisms in fish models. This work integrates comparative neuroanatomy, cellular regeneration processes, and evolutionary developmental biology to understand nervous system repair mechanisms.
