Maria Emanuela Corliano is an Associate Professor of Sociology of School and Education at the University of Salento, affiliated with the Department of Human and Social Sciences. She holds a permanent research position in Sociology of Cultural and Communicative Processes (GSPS-06/A). Her academic roles include teaching courses such as General Sociology, Sociology of Education, and Environmental Sociology, among others, since 2002. She is a member of the Scientific Committee of journals like 'Segni e comprende' and 'Mizar,' and part of the Interdepartmental Research Center for Peace at the University of Salento.
Her research focuses on the social implications of educational processes, childhood and educational poverty, knowledge production in everyday contexts, and power dynamics.
