Maria Eduarda Soares

Maria Eduarda Soares is an Associate Professor at the Department of Management of ISEG (School of Economics and Management) at the University of Lisbon. She holds a Bachelor's degree from ISEG-ULisboa and Neoma Business School (France), a Master's from ISCTE-IUL (Portugal), and a PhD from Tilburg University (Netherlands). She has extensive teaching experience in Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, and Management Principles, across multiple countries including Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Angola, and Mozambique. Currently, she serves as a program director for ISEG's Master in Management.

Her research focuses on organizational behavior, workplace well-being, telework dynamics, and employee retention. She has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to conferences worldwide. Awards include the 'Outstanding Reviewer' from the Academy of Management and multiple teaching excellence awards. She leads ISEG's Learning Assessment Process for international accreditations and chairs Futurível, an HRM-focused association.

Her scholarly work addresses contemporary challenges like transgender employees' well-being, expatriate engagement, and family-friendly policies' impact on performance. She also explores the role of religion and ethical leadership in organizational contexts.

Maria coordinates several initiatives, including the Master in Management program, and collaborates with institutions like the Military Academy of Lisbon and ISEG Junior Business Consulting. Her research spans diverse sectors, including healthcare, IT, and education, emphasizing practical solutions for organizational and employee challenges.
