Maria Dorninger

Maria Dorninger serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Germanistics at the University of Salzburg, where she specializes in Older German Language and Literature. She holds the administrative role of Deputy Chair of the Curriculum Committee, contributing to academic governance within her department.

Her research focuses on the historical evolution of the German language and literary traditions from early periods through the 18th century, examining linguistic structures and cultural contexts of medieval and early modern texts. This work forms the foundation of her teaching in historical linguistics and philological methodologies.
