Maria Dimitrova Kitova-Vasileva

Prof. Maria Kitova-Vasileva holds the rank of Professor at New Bulgarian University's Department of Romance and German Studies. She teaches courses in historical linguistics and comparative language studies. With dual doctorates (1983 PhD and 2002 DSc), her career spans over five decades, including academic leadership roles and international collaborations. She specializes in Spanish historical linguistics, comparative Romance language studies, and epistemic modality systems.
