Dr. Maria Balatbat is a Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Business School, affiliated with the School of Accounting, Auditing and Taxation. With a PhD in Economics from the University of Sydney and extensive experience in financial accounting, her work focuses on ESG reporting, climate disclosure, and sustainability frameworks. She is a founding member of UNSW's Collaboration on Energy and Environmental Markets (CEEM) and has developed accredited courses on Integrated Reporting and Climate Change Sustainability.
