Maria Bakatsaki

Maria Bakatsaki is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Production and Management Engineering of the Technical University of Crete (TUC), with academic appointments since 2009. She holds a PhD in Production and Management Engineering (2018) and has been a permanent faculty member since 2017. Her roles include teaching in Computational Engineering and Optimization and Management Systems laboratories. She has extensive administrative experience, including founding and leading TUC's Career Office (1997) and Technology Transfer Center (1996–1999, 2005–2008). She also serves as a business coach, trainer in private institutions since 1990, and LAEK trainer since 2022. Her research focuses on Business Process Management, Sustainable Development, Entrepreneurship, and Quality Management, with recent work addressing Work-Life Balance and Eco-Intelligence.

Education: Diploma (1992), Master's (1999), and PhD (2018) in Production and Management Engineering from TUC. Professional activities include collaboration with the New Business Incubator, Moodle support during the pandemic, and international Moodle certification since 2016. She has organized numerous workshops, conferences, and training programs, contributing to research dissemination and educational innovation.

Her research spans interdisciplinary fields, emphasizing practical applications in organizational quality, sustainable leadership, and entrepreneurial strategies. She has participated in national and European research programs, with publications in journals and conferences reflecting her expertise in management systems and innovation.
