Maria Baghramian is a Professor at the UCD School of Philosophy and co-director of the Postgraduate Programme in Cognitive Science (founded in 2000). She has held visiting positions at Harvard, MIT, University of Yerevan, and institutions in China and Paris. She is a leading figure in epistemology, social epistemology, and philosophy of science, focusing on relativism, pluralism, trust, and expertise.

Research Interests: Her work bridges contemporary American philosophy and philosophy of language, with interdisciplinary emphasis on truth, peer disagreement, and science policy. She co-leads the Horizon 2020-funded PERITIA project (€3 million) and the When Experts Disagree (WEXD) project, addressing trust in scientific expertise and expert disagreement.
