Marc Andree Weber is an Academic Staff Member at the Chair of Theoretical Philosophy/Philosophy of Language at the University of Mannheim's School of Humanities. Since 2018, he has conducted research on epistemology and metaphysics, including a DFG-funded project (2021-present) on The Moral Dimension of Doxastic Norms. He previously served as interim professor at Heidelberg University (2022) and Hamburg University (2023), and was an Assistant Professor at University College Freiburg (2017-2018).
He holds a PhD (2011) on transtemporal personal identity and a habilitation (2019) on epistemic disagreement. His research spans:
- Theoretical philosophy with emphasis on metaphysics of persons
- Epistemological analysis of disagreements
- Norms of belief formation
- Phenomenon of vagueness
Weber's publications (2013-2024) show strong focus on epistemological debates about disagreement resolution and evidential norms, alongside metaphysical studies of personal identity. Recent works explore intersections with political philosophy and ethics.

He teaches courses extending beyond research specializations, including political philosophy, logic, and early modern philosophy.
