Maria Aliberti Lubertazzi is a Senior Lecturer at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). She holds a BA from Middlebury College, a MAS from Antioch University New England, and a PhD from the University of Rhode Island (2009). Her research focuses on invertebrate biology, landscape ecology, freshwater wetland ecology, and public health, with expertise in freshwater invertebrates, moth and ant ecology, and biological pest control.
Her educational background includes studies in environmental science and education, complemented by field research across diverse ecosystems. She has taught science across all educational levels, from elementary to graduate programs, and has professional experience in research and environmental consulting.
