Maria Alberich Carramiñana

Maria Alberich Carramiñana is a Full Professor (Catedrática) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Department of Mathematics, affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics. She leads the GEOMVAP research group (Geometry of Varieties and Applications) and is part of the Institut de Robòtica i Informàtica Industrial (CSIC-UPC). Her expertise lies in Algebraic Geometry, Singularity Theory, and their applications to robotics, alongside Mathematics Outreach. She holds a Ph.D. from the Universitat de Barcelona and has held roles including Ramón y Cajal Fellow and Associate Professor at UPC.
