Maria Ajaimy

Maria Ajaimy, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of Pancreas Transplantation at Montefiore Medical Center, affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She specializes in nephrology with a clinical focus on kidney and kidney-pancreas transplantation. Dr. Ajaimy completed her medical degree at Lebanese University School of Medicine, followed by renal fellowship training at SUNY Downstate and transplant fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (Harvard). She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, and UNOS-certified in transplant nephrology.

Her research focuses on addressing complex clinical challenges in transplantation, having served as principal investigator in multiple trials and authored numerous articles.
