Luz E. Liriano-Ward

Luz E. Liriano-Ward is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine (Nephrology) at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, affiliated with Montefiore Medical Center. She serves as Director of the Transplant Nephrology Fellowship and directs medical students’ nephrology rotations at Einstein/Montefiore. Her clinical expertise focuses on kidney and pancreas transplantation, with a special emphasis on medical education and transplant outcomes research.

Her work bridges clinical practice and translational research in transplant nephrology.

Leadership & Advocacy: She chairs the Transplant Nephrology Fellowship Training Accreditation Program (TNFTAP) for the American Society of Transplantation and participates in national committees. Her roles emphasize advancing transplant education and clinical standards.
