Maria Ahlholm serves as a Senior University Lecturer in the Department of Educational Sciences at the University of Helsinki, where she is affiliated with the Teachers' Academy, Helsinki Inequality Initiative (INEQ), and Humanities and Social Sciences Education (HuSoEd). She supervises doctoral students in both the Doctoral Program in Linguistics and the Doctoral Program in School, Education, Society and Culture.
Her educational background includes a docent position in Finnish language and applied linguistics from the University of Jyväskylä, awarded on February 25, 2014.
