Maria Abrahamsson

Maria Abrahamsson is a Full Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Chalmers University of Technology. Her research focuses on solar energy conversion to solar fuels, using molecular-material approaches to drive chemical reactions via redox equivalents. Key areas include photocatalytic CO₂ reduction, photophysics/photochemistry of transition metal complexes, and energy transfer mechanisms studied via ultrafast spectroscopy and electrochemical methods. She leads the Abrahamsson-group, which explores solar fuel technologies and sustainable materials.
