Mari Ota

Mari Ota is a Lecturer in Piano at the Keyboard Department of the Mozarteum University Salzburg, affiliated with the School of Music & Art Education (SOMA). She serves as an assistant to Gereon Kleiner and has been in this role since 2018.

Her training includes studies under Karl-Heinz Kämmerling (concert subject) and Alfons Kontarsky (piano chamber music) at the Mozarteum University. As a performer, she specializes in solo and chamber music, with notable collaborations including recordings of Mozart's Concerto for Two Pianos and Concerto for Three Pianos with Cyprien Katsaris. She has performed extensively in Japan and Europe.

Active in ensemble work, Ota serves as a pianist for the Salzburg Bach Choir and acts as a répétiteur for prestigious events like the Salzburg Festival and Mozartwoche Salzburg. Her expertise spans Baroque and classical repertoire, reflecting her deep engagement with historical performance practices.
