Mari Aguilera Ruiz

Mari Aguilera Ruiz is an Associate Professor at the University of Barcelona's Faculty of Psychology, affiliated with the Basic Psychology Department. Her research focuses on developmental psychology, clinical psychology, cognitive processes, and neuropsychological interventions. She leads the 'Cognition and Language Research Group (GRECIL)' and coordinates the teaching innovation group 'Learning and Thinking.' She has conducted projects on emotional well-being in learning-disordered children, prosody in language acquisition, and cognitive foundations of pseudoscientific beliefs.

Her recent work explores the intersection of mental health and chronic illnesses like fibromyalgia, publishing studies on cognitive-behavioral therapy efficacy and schizotypy's impact on creativity.
