Mari A Perez Rosendahl

Mari A Perez Rosendahl, MD holds dual academic appointments as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pathology and Associate Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. She serves as Program Director for the Pathology Residency Program and is a Core Investigator at the Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND).

Dr. Perez Rosendahl's research focuses on neuropathology with particular emphasis on neurological manifestations of systemic diseases, including the neurological effects of viral infections such as SARS-CoV-2. Her work explores neuropathological findings including microglial activation, lymphoid inflammation, hypoxic-ischemic changes, and pituitary involvement in disease processes. At UCI MIND, she contributes to interdisciplinary research on memory disorders and neurological conditions.
