Margery Hwang is an Assistant Professor of String Chamber Music at the Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester. She is a cellist and chamber musician,曾 as a founding member of the Franciscan String Quartet (winner of major international competitions) and the Amenda Quartet. She holds a Master’s from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor’s with Distinction from the New England Conservatory of Music.
- Affiliations: Co-Artistic Director of Yellow Barn’s Young Artists Program, Artistic Director of 'If Music be the Food…' (benefiting Foodlink), Board member of Chamber Music America and Hochstein School of Music and Dance.
Her research and performance interests focus on chamber music interpretation, string ensemble techniques, and music outreach. She has performed globally with renowned ensembles and soloists, including the Tokyo and Ying Quartets.
