Margarida Hermida is a Research Fellow and Jacobsen Fellow at the Department of Philosophy, King's College London. She holds dual PhDs: in Philosophy from the University of Bristol (supervised by Samir Okasha) and in Biology from the University of Porto. Her postdoctoral research focuses on 'The Physics of Life,' exploring the intersection of biophysics and philosophy. Formerly a marine biologist, she specializes in the philosophy of biology, metaphysics, and science autonomy.
