Margaret Tison

Margaret Tison is a Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Studies & Sustainable Food Systems at Prescott College. She serves as Co-Director of the Core Curriculum/General Education alongside Professor Mark Dailey and as On-Campus Director of the Green Mountain Center for Sustainability (Wren Building) in Prescott, Arizona. Her work focuses on integrating teaching, advising, and hands-on sustainability projects with both undergraduate on-campus and online students.

Her research and teaching interests include agroecology, community food systems, food justice, and soil science. She leads a Sustainability Crew of 14 undergraduates managing campus projects such as the Campus Food Gardens, Composting System, GMC Free Store, and seed-saving initiatives. These efforts emphasize practical sustainability practices and community engagement.

As Coordinator of the COR 40005 Senior Project course, she oversees all undergraduate senior projects at Prescott College. She also facilitates free community meal events and school garden programs, reflecting her commitment to food equity and environmental stewardship.
