Margaret Price is a Professor of English (Writing, Rhetoric & Literacy) at The Ohio State University, where she also serves as Director of the Disability Studies Program and co-founder of the Transformative Access Project. She is an award-winning author of Crip Spacetime (2024) and Mad at School (2011), which examine disability, access, and inclusion in academic environments.
Her research focuses on:
- Disability Studies in higher education
- Universal Design and collective access frameworks
- Intersectional approaches to accessibility
- Collective Action strategies for inclusive spaces
- Rhetoric and Literacy as tools for social justice
She received a Fulbright Grant (Spring 2022) to study universal design at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and is currently researching how people build access through gathering in university settings. This lecture at Stockholm University's Department of Swedish Language and Multilingualism (19 August 2025) will explore these themes further.
