Margaret McManus

Margaret McManus is a Professor of Architecture at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) since 2020, previously serving as Associate Professor at Marywood University School of Architecture (2013–2020). She holds an M.Arch. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.F.A. in Visual Arts from Marywood University, and a B.S. in Architecture from the University of Virginia. Her academic work focuses on sustainable design strategies, pedagogical innovation in architectural education, and the integration of digital tools in design processes.

Professionally, she is the Principal/Owner of MOdesigns, LLC (2015–present), specializing in residential and commercial architecture with a sustainability emphasis. Notable projects include the LEED Gold-certified residence and the Green Fin House, recognized in international awards. Her research spans material innovation, digital fabrication, and the role of technology in architectural education. She has presented widely on topics like design pedagogy, virtual reality in teaching, and interdisciplinary approaches to curriculum design.
