Margaret Furman, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. She specializes in preventive cardiology, lipidology, and cardio-rheumatology—the management of cardiovascular risks in autoimmune inflammatory joint disease patients. She co-directs the Yale Cardio-Rheumatology Program and focuses on women’s cardiac health, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound. Dr. Furman earned her MD from Eastern Virginia Medical School and MPH from The George Washington University. She completed residency at Montefiore Medical Center and a fellowship at North Shore University Medical Center.
