Margaret J. Daniels is Professor of Tourism and Events Management in George Mason University's College of Education and Human Development. She holds a Ph.D. from Clemson University and conducts research on visitor counting methodologies, particularly infrared sensor applications in park management.
Her recent publication examines accuracy challenges in outdoor infrared counters, developing validation protocols and correction algorithms. Funded by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, this work addresses critical data reliability issues in recreation management.
