معرفی
Mareike Moeller is affiliated with the Division of Plant Sciences at The Australian National University. Her research focuses on fungal genomics, epigenomics, and genome instability, particularly in organisms like Zymoseptoria tritici. She holds a PhD in Fungal Genomics and Epigenomics from Kiel University (2014–2018) and has held postdoctoral roles at Oregon State University and Kiel University. Her work explores chromatin dynamics, heterochromatin formation, and the genetic mechanisms underlying genome instability in fungi.
Research interests include:
- Molecular mechanisms of genome instability
- Epigenetic regulation in pathogenic fungi
- Role of chromatin modifications in fungal pathogenesis
Her publications emphasize interdisciplinary approaches combining genomics and molecular biology to address fundamental questions in fungal biology. She is currently leading a project investigating evolutionary consequences of genome copy maintenance in separate nuclei. Registered to supervise students in plant sciences and related fields.
