Marcy L. North is an Associate Professor of English at Pennsylvania State University and serves as the institution’s Representative to the Folger Shakespeare Library. Her research and teaching focus on book history, manuscript culture, Renaissance literature, and early women's literature. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
Her research explores authorship, anonymity, and material culture in early modern England, with particular attention to manuscript miscellanies, scribal practices, and the intersection of visual culture with textual studies.
