Professor Marcus du Sautoy is the Charles Simonyi Professor for the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University, holding this position jointly between the Mathematical Institute and the Department for Continuing Education. He is also a Professor of Mathematics and a Fellow of New College, Oxford, with a research focus on symmetry and zeta functions in number theory.
