Marco Scotti

Marco Scotti leads the Ecosystem Modelling Group at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre, focusing on marine food webs and sustainable fisheries. PhD in Ecology (University of Parma).

Research: Quantifies climate change impacts on marine ecosystems using network models and mesocosm experiments. Current projects include EcoScope (H2020) for ecosystem-based fisheries and iSeal (BMBF) on blue carbon.

Awards: Young Researcher Prize (Italian Ecology Society 2010). Editorial roles: Associate Editor for Food Webs and Community Ecology.

Leadership: Coordinates the Aberdeen Just Transitions Lab and advises HELCOM on food web assessments. Secured €7M+ in research funding.
