Marco Ragazzi is Full Professor at University of Trento's Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering, serving as Rector's Delegate for Environmental Sustainability. Specializes in waste management, water treatment technologies, and environmental impact assessment.
Research examines thermal waste treatments, sludge management, lake eutrophication remediation, and health impacts of air pollution. Current projects focus on sustainable sludge treatment chains and industrial emission controls. Over 30 years of fieldwork includes consulting for UNESCO sites and EU research programs.
Awarded Premio Noseda (1988) for top engineering graduate and Premio Ambrogino d'Oro (2006) for Milan's wastewater system development. Editorial board member for Environmental Science Engineering Journal and collaborates with universities globally including Bucharest Polytechnic and University of California.
