Marco Gazzoni

Marco Gazzoni is a Full Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET), Polytechnic University of Turin, and a member of the PolitoBIOMed Lab - Biomedical Engineering Lab. He serves as a Scientific Director for multiple research projects and teaches courses in Rehabilitation Bioengineering, Exercise Bioengineering, and Biomedical Instrumentation.

• Research Interests: Neuromuscular disorders, EMG signal processing, Human motion analysis, Rehabilitation technologies, Medical imaging, Biomedical devices.

Publications focus on AR/VR in rehabilitation, EMG biofeedback, exoskeletons, and muscle activation analysis. Scientific Roles include Founding Member of the National Bioengineering Group Association (2019-), IEEE EMBS member (2018-), and Editorial Board member of Physiological Measurement (2016-).

PhD Students supervised include Alessandra Audisio (Multi-sensor mobility platforms) and Arman Farsi (AR/VR rehabilitation systems). Research projects funded by NIH, PNRR, and corporate contracts address motor unit alterations, fall risk prevention, and wearable technologies.
