Taian Martins

Taian Martins is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET) of Polytechnic University of Turin and a member of the PolitoBIOMed Lab (Biomedical Engineering Lab). He holds a L.240 academic position and has been actively involved in research and teaching since at least 2006.

Research Interests include biomechanics, biomedical signal processing, posture analysis, and surface electromyography (EMG). His work bridges neuroengineering, rehabilitation engineering, and medical innovation, focusing on technologies like wearable sensors and HD-sEMG systems.

Recent Publications demonstrate trends in motion capture technology, robotic integration for surgical analysis, and smart health applications. These works span biomedical instrumentation, machine learning, and clinical usability testing.
