Marco Clemente is a Professor at the ZHAW School of Management and Law, Zurich Center for Sustainability Leadership. His research focuses on organizational misconduct, media evaluations of scandals, and sustainability management. Prior to academia, he served as a Marketing Manager in the Beauty Sector at Procter & Gamble (2006–2009). He leads projects like 'When the Dust Doesn't Settle: Scandal Re-activation' and 'Corporate responsibility and sustainability management.' His work addresses how scandals influence organizational status, media heterogeneity, and institutional change. He holds an ORCID ID (0000-0001-7642-8319) and is active on LinkedIn.
Research interests include the intersection of corporate governance, media dynamics, and ethical business practices. He explores themes such as stigma diffusion in professions, CSR strategies in sports organizations, and recursive institutional change. Recent studies examine the risks of ambitious sustainability targets fostering corporate scandals and the role of media fragmentation in scandal framing.
