Professor Tkaczyk's research spans multiple areas of logic and philosophy, with particular focus on temporal logic, positional logics, philosophy of time, and philosophy of religion. His work demonstrates a unique integration of formal logical methods with philosophical inquiry, especially in analyzing time-related concepts and theological questions. His publications reveal a consistent trajectory from technical logical investigations toward broader philosophical applications, particularly in understanding time, contingency, and religious concepts.
His most recent publications (2022-2024) show continued productivity across multiple domains: historical analysis of Polish Enlightenment-era logic (Jan Śniadecki), examination of ancient logical systems, and sophisticated treatments of philosophical theology including Duns Scotus's arguments for God's existence. The breadth of his work connects contemporary logical research with historical traditions while addressing fundamental metaphysical questions.
- Award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education (2011)
- Lublin Scientific Award (2016)

His research leadership includes directing the National Science Centre-funded project 'Positional logics - metatheory and applications' (2013-2015) and serving as research fellow at KU Leuven's Centre for Logic and Analytic Philosophy (2015). His department represents a continuation of Lublin's distinguished tradition in logic, succeeding notable scholars including Father Antoni Korcik, Father Stanisław Kamiński, Ludwik Borkowski, and Stanisław Kiczuk.
