Dr. Marcin Rebes is an Assistant Professor at the Department of European Philosophy, Jagiellonian University. He holds a Habilitated Doctorate in Philosophy (Pontifical University of John Paul II, 2020) and a PhD in Philosophy (Jagiellonian University, 2003). His research spans phenomenology, hermeneutics, and continental philosophy, focusing on thinkers like Heidegger, Levinas, and Tischner.
- Visiting professor at University of Vienna (Bildungswissenschaft) and University of Dresden (Hannah-Arendt Institute)
- Research projects funded by Polish Ministry of Science (2018, 2013, 2009-2012)
- Editor-in-chief of 'Euro-Facta' journal
- Vice President of SYFF Scholarship Holders Association
His publications examine direct democracy models (Switzerland), tolerance theories (Modrzewski, Tischner), and philosophy of responsibility (Heidegger-Tischner dialogue). He lectures internationally in Germany, Austria, Portugal, and Israel. Affiliated with the Polish Society for European Studies and Bronisław Trentowski Society.
