Marcelo J. P. Paixão

Marcelo J. P. Paixão is an Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and the Department of African and African Diaspora Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Rio de Janeiro University Research Institute (IUPERJ), Brazil, and is associated with multiple research centers, including the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LLILAS), the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy (CSRD), the IC 2 Institute, and the Institute for Urban Policy Research and Analysis (IUPRA).
