Dr. Marcello Bertotti is a Professor in Public Health at the University of East London (UEL), leading research in social prescribing and community health interventions. His work focuses on improving health equity, particularly for vulnerable youth and populations in deprived urban areas. He has contributed to numerous policy initiatives and evaluations, including studies on social prescribing link workers, youth NEET interventions, and sustainable community-led programs.
His research explores the intersection of healthcare systems and community assets, emphasizing participatory approaches to address loneliness, mental health, and social isolation.
