Marcella Rivatelli is a Lecturer at Heidelberg University's Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, where she coordinates the Italian Center for the Promotion of the Italian Language and Regional Studies. Her academic journey began with a BA (1986) and MA (1990) in translation theory and practice at the University of Trieste, followed by an MA (1996) in Italian linguistics and literature focusing on the Middle Ages and Dante's Divine Comedy. She completed a postgraduate course in conference interpreting at the University of Westminster (1999) and holds a C1 Advanced French Language Diploma.
