Marcella Daye is a Senior Lecturer in Tourism Management at the University of Northampton, affiliated with the School of Events, Tourism & Hospitality. She is also part of the Centre for Global Economic and Social Development and the Centre for the Advancement of Racial Equality. Her research focuses on Tourism Management, Place Branding, Ethnic Minority Studies, and Higher Education, with a particular emphasis on cultural capital, race, and social inclusion.
Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to reducing inequalities and promoting sustainable tourism. Recent projects include 'WWW: Women, Walking and Wellbeing,' addressing race-based health inequalities in Northamptonshire, and an Erasmus+ initiative on staff mobility in Central Asia.

She actively supervises PhD and Master’s students focusing on topics like destination rebranding and stakeholder collaboration.
Daye is a member of the Elsevier board and serves on advisory panels for community engagement initiatives, reflecting her commitment to applied research and social impact.
