Marcelina Gawron

Marcelina Gawron is a jazz vocalist, instrumentalist, composer, and lyricist affiliated with Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Faculty of Arts, Lublin) as a lecturer and the Mieczysław Karłowicz School of Music in Katowice as a pedagogue. She holds a Master’s degree in Jazz and Entertainment Music from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk and a Jazz Vocalist degree from the Academy of Music in Katowice.

Her research and artistic activities focus on jazz vocal performance, contemporary music composition, and entertainment music. She has released multiple albums, including Podróż (2017) with Jazzoom, Notes of Life (2019) featuring collaborations with Robert Majewski and Adam Jarzymik, and participated in the 2024 Polskie Impresje project with Lukas Mazur Quartet.

Gawron collaborates with renowned jazz musicians like Michał Barański, Mariusz Bogdanowicz, and Curtis Johnson, and performs at festivals such as Prudnik Jazz Festival, Jazz in Ruins, and Beskid Jazz & Folk Festival. She is actively creating new works, including an upcoming authorial album with pianist Dominik Wania.
