Marcel Rodens

Marcel Rodens is a Researcher at the Institute of Prehistory and Early History within the ROOTS Cluster of Excellence at Kiel University. The ROOTS Cluster, funded by the German Excellence Strategy, investigates human-environment dynamics and cultural transformations across prehistoric and early historic periods through interdisciplinary collaboration.

His research spans Archaeology, Prehistoric Archaeology, Early History, Anthropology, Human-Environment Interactions, and Cultural Transformations. This work integrates archaeological, historical, and environmental methodologies to analyze long-term societal evolution within the Cluster's framework of Roots, Interactions, and Transformations research areas.

Based at the ROOTS Cluster office (Olshausenstraße 80b, Kiel, Room EG.004), he contributes to collaborative projects examining societal development patterns from prehistoric eras through early historical periods using material culture and environmental data synthesis.
