Marc Trabsky is an Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Australian Centre for Justice Innovation at Monash University’s Faculty of Law. Previously, he held an Associate Professorship at La Trobe Law School (La Trobe University). His research focuses on coronial law, end-of-life law, and socio-legal studies. He co-edited The Routledge Handbook of Law and Death (2025) and authored Law and the Dead (2019), which won the LSAANZ Book Prize. He holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne and has held visiting roles at the University of Leeds, Bath, Kent, Sydney, and UTS.
Key recognitions include an ARC DECRA Fellowship (2022–2025) and multiple research excellence awards. He advises the Health+Law Research Partnership and serves as Vice-President of LSAANZ. His work intersects legal theory, health systems, and death studies, with contributions to Mortality journal and media engagements on coronial processes.
