Prof. Dr. Marc Stadtler is a full professor of Competence Development and Competence Modeling at the Institute for Educational Research at Ruhr-University Bochum (Germany). He leads the Competence Development & Competence Modeling Lab and holds a habilitation from the University of Münster (2014). His research focuses on cognitive and metacognitive foundations of learning, particularly in digital environments, and the evaluation of scientific information by laypersons. Key areas include online misinformation literacy, formal/informal learning integration, and education technology interventions.
