معرفی
Marc Servant is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Université de Montréal, and holds the Canada Research Chair in Inflammatory Response Signaling. He specializes in innate immune response mechanisms, molecular pharmacology, and signaling pathways in chronic inflammatory diseases. His research focuses on IKKα/β, TBK1, and IKKi proteins in atherosclerosis, antiviral responses, cancer, and autoimmune diseases. He has received awards including the RBC Excellence Award and the Canada Research Chair.
Education: BSc in Microbiology (Université de Sherbrooke, 1989-1992), MSc and PhD in Molecular Pharmacology (Université de Montréal, 1992-1998), followed by postdoctoral training in Virology at McGill University (1998-2002).
Research Interests: Innate immunity, inflammatory signaling, molecular pharmacology, and cellular signal integration. Key projects include studying antiviral signaling pathways, vascular remodeling via kinases/E3 ligases, colorectal cancer via WNT pathway, and cell therapy using genetic editing.
Awards & Grants: Over 20 years of funding from institutions like the Heart and Stroke Foundation, FRSQ, and Rx&D. Current projects include investigations into IL-17RD, USP17 in cancer, and inflammatory signaling in systemic sclerosis.
Labs & Teams: Member of GRUM (Drug Research Group), RQRM (Quebec Drug Research Network), and leads a molecular immunopharmacology lab. Supervises research on antiviral defenses, vascular smooth muscle cells, and cytokine regulation.
