Marc J. Blitz is the Alan Joseph Bennett Professor of Law at the Oklahoma City University School of Law. He specializes in constitutional law, privacy, and technology-related legal issues. His research explores the intersection of emerging technologies—such as virtual/augmented reality, surveillance, and biometric identification—with First and Fourth Amendment doctrines. He also examines neuroscience’s implications for freedom of thought and constitutional rights.

Teaching & Recognition: Professor Blitz teaches courses like Constitutional Law, Cybersecurity Law, and Law and Neuroscience. He was twice honored as Professor of the Year (2007 and 2018) by the Merit Scholars Association. Before academia, he practiced law at WilmerHale in Washington, D.C.
Research Interests: His work bridges technology, neuroscience, and legal frameworks, addressing challenges posed by fake news, deepfakes, drone technology, and public surveillance. He also explores how neuroscience (e.g., fMRI) impacts constitutional protections for thought and expression.
Professional Activities: Series editor for the Palgrave Macmillan Series on Law, Neuroscience, and Human Behavior. Active in legal academia and policy discussions on technology’s societal impacts.
